For any member that is interested in bullseye pistol, we will be practicing Thursday night 7pm-9pm. Swing by with your 22 handgun and ammo during that time frame. We supply the targets and coaching. Hope to see you!

Assistant District Attorney Training - OUT DOOR RANGE CLOSED (May 31, 2013)

MRGC is providing training to the District Attorney's Office.

The purpose of the training is to familiarize the prosecutors with the rules of safe gun handling, give them an introduction to the function of firearms and a taste of the “use of force” training given to police officers and deputy sheriffs in MA. The goal is to empower the prosecutors to better understand firearms and their use by both the good and the bad guys, and to allow the ADA’s to handle firearms safely and confidently before a judge and jury.

The outdoor range will be closed during this time.

Mass Gun Laws Course (June 01, 2013)

Attorney Pat Rogers will be speaking on current Mass Gun laws in the club house June 1, 8:30-12:30pm The cost of the training will be $55.00 and that includes the book he wrote. Seating will be limited to 35. Payment is made through the MRGC paypal account link during the registration process.

Kids Fishing Derby at MRGC 300 School St.

9am to 1pm.

Trout stocked in the pond, as well as other native fish-bass, pickerel, sunfish.

Prizes will be awarded for largest fish in each age group for girls & boys.

Free BBQ for kids with hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, & snacks. For adults donations accepted for food & drinks.

Free for Children 8 to 14, must be accompanied by parent (or responsible adult)(must sign family liability waiver).
Parents can assist children, but cannot fish. (Parents must have a valid Mass fishing license.)

This will be a great, fun day of fishing on the pond, so come & join us!

Women On Target

Ladies, if you have ever thought about trying your hand at recreational shooting, here is your opportunity! Come join us for a women only instructional shooting clinic. You will receive hands on instruction in shotgun, rifle, pistol, and archery by the fun, friendly and knowledgeable folks at the Marshfield Rod & Gun Club. All women are invited to participate regardless of skill level. No previous experience is necessary; just the desire to learn and have fun.

The $50 tuition includes use of eye and hearing protection, all materials, lunch and basic firearm safety. This event is limited to 28 people and you must be at least 16 years old to participate.

The event does not qualify you for a Massachusetts State Police Safety Certificate for License To Carry and FID Card applications. You must take the MRGC Safety Course to qualify.

NRA certified instructors cover Massachusetts laws, firearms use and safety. Training includes live fire and written exam.

You must:

- Register and pay online. Until you confirm payment via the PayPal confirm button and receive a confirmation that you have paid, you are not officially registered and do not have a spot reserved in the class.

- Bring a photo ID with you to the course: drivers license, FID, LTC

Juniors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
