Firearms Safety Course:

Are you interested in learning how to shoot and handle a firearm safely? Would you like your family members to be safe around guns? Maybe you are seeking a License to Carry? Marshfield Rod and Gun Club has a firearms safety course that can do that for you.

MRGC's Safety Course is offered one Saturday every other month (approx. 6 hrs.) Upon successful completion, students will receive at the end of the day the Massachusetts State Police Safety Certificate for License To Carry and FID Card applications. The one day course entails:

Identification of the parts of Revolvers, Rifles, Shotguns and Semi Automatic Pistols
  • Proper Loading/Unloading of Firearms
  • Storage and function of ammunition
  • Class A, B LTC's and FID
  • Concealed carry and transportation of firearms In Massachusetts
  • Concealed carry and transportation of firearms outside Massachusetts
  • Hands-on training with Live Fire using Pistol, Rifle and Revolver
  • Testing (both written and hands-on).
Course fee: $150.00, $40 Juniors, $40 Full Time Student with ID
