    Firearms Safety Course

    NRA certified instructors cover Massachusetts laws, firearms use and safety. Training includes live fire and written exam.

    You must:

    Register and pay online. Until you confirm payment via the PayPal confirm button and RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION THAT YOU HAVE PAID, you are not officially registered and do not have a spot reserved in the class.

    Bring a photo ID with you to the course: drivers license, FID, LTC

    Juniors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

    Refunds for the Firearms Safety Course are permissible with notification and confirmation from club management 72 hours prior to class.     In order to ensure you are paying the correct amount, please do not fill in the check amount until you meet with me.

    Expect to be at the club until at least 8pm. After the meeting you will get a safety briefing and receive your access card.

    We are limiting the number of people that can join at each meeting. If this night is full, please select another processing night. If you are not registered for a night, do not show up. If you do, we will ask you to come back on the night you registered. 

    You will stay for the membership meeting which begins at 7pm at which time you will be voted in. After the meeting you be be briefed on the rules and range safety.

  • Military Shoot 10-2:00PM outdoor range closed

    MILITARY SHOOT

    These matches are held twice a year to honor our veterans and are held on or near Patriot’s Day and Veteran’s Day.

    The match starts at 10 AM and will be held rain or shine at the Outdoor Range. The match is open to all Club members and each member can bring up to two (2) guests. Firearms that are allowed are basically any firearms used by any military at any time.

    Categories:

    Pre 1890 including black powder, WW1, WW2, Post WW2, Unlimited, Sniper, .22 cal, and Pistol

    • All Rifle Categories—25 shots, best 20
    • Pistol 10 shots 
    • Sniper 5 Shots, no .22 cal
    • Unlimited - scopes and red dots allowed
    • Rifles in .22 cal must be replicas of military rifles
    • closest to target wins

    Targets are 200yd targets shot at 50 yards so you can’t miss. Iron Sights only, except for Unlimited category. Sniper can rest 1 elbow on the bench. Any rifle used by any Military (except any .22 cal versions)

    One target per category. TARGETS ARE FREE! No Prizes, but Winners get to be admired by all! Please arrive no later than 11am so we can finish by 2pm. Bring a potluck to share - chili especially!

    This is a chance to see, hear and fire military weapons used by the U.S. and its allies and enemies throughout the years. So dust off those Garands and carbines and whatever you have. While not required, the wearing of military gear is encouraged in keeping with the spirit of this event.

    MRGC Back-Up Gun Match

    A Fun Challenge!

    Bring your favorite snub-nose revolver or compact carry pistol and join us for a fun, friendly competition. Whether you carry a revolver or an auto, this match is a great opportunity to test your skills with the guns we actually carry. 

    Volunteers Needed!
    We will need a few members to help run the firing line, score targets, and keep the match moving. Your help is greatly appreciated!     

    Firearm Requirements

    • Revolvers or semi-automatic pistols with a barrel length of 3½ inches or less
    • Separate divisions for Revolvers and Semi-Automatics
    • .32 caliber or larger
    • No magnums 

    Starting Position

    (The Range Officer will review the exact start procedure before each stage.) 

    We'll have a variety of fun stages designed specifically for small defensive handguns.

  • .22 Shooting Gallery Fun Shoot Outdoor Range Closed 10am-12pm

    .22 Shooting Gallery Fun Shoot

    Get your 22 rifle out, get it zeroed in for 50 yards and come out for a “shooting gallery” style fun shoot.

    Each round will consist of 20 shots at 15 steel silhouette targets set at 50 yards.

    Bring any rifle in .22LR, no restrictions

    Shoot from any position: off-hand, bench, or prone

    Just like dessert, please make sure everyone else has shot before going back for seconds

    Pizza and soft drinks will be provided by the club around 12:30.

    Open to all MGRC members and their guests (limit 2).
